Crafting Weekend FAQ's

Guesthouse FAQ's

  1. How many people can you accommodate? What kind of beds are available? What kind of kitchen facilities?
Please see Guesthouse's page and the FAQ's for the Guesthouse for more information on the room arrangements and kitchen facilities.
  2. What time is check in/check out?
You'll get, essentially, three full days by booking with us. Check in is 9:00 AM Friday and check out isn't until 7:00 PM on Sunday, allowing you more time to relax. That's about 12 HOURS MORE than most venues! PLUS, we'll be happy to add a day on either end of your weekend (either Thursday or Monday) for only $50 more! Contact us if you'd like to take advantage of this offer. (Please note that check-in/check-out times for reservations at the Guesthouse alone are different.)
  3. What's the deal with the "Guesthouse" and the "Mom Cave"?
Thanks for letting us clarify! The Guesthouse is the 3 bedroom apartment which is on the second floor. The Mom Cave is the separate crafting space on the first floor. During the summer months, especially, we rent just the Guesthouse as a sort of bed and breakfast (without the breakfast). The Mom Cave can also be rented by itself for small gatherings.
  4. Is alcohol allowed?
We're unable to provide alcohol, but you're more than welcome to bring your own! Wine glasses and bottle openers are provided.
  5. What do I need to bring?
All you'll need are your craft supplies, an overnight bag, personal items/toiletries, and your food for the weekend. We provide bedding and towels and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the pots/pans, dishes, and utensils you should need.
  6. Are the Guesthouse and Mom Cave physically connected?
Old, historic buildings usually come with their own quirks-- and this one is no exception. To go from one to the other it is necessary to go outside and back in. However, the doors are right next to each other. You won't be walking half way around the building, you'll go outside and right back in. In addition, our smart locks allow secure, convenient access between the two spaces without worrying about keys or fumbling with locks.
  7. Can I make an individual reservation?
Sorry, we don't have the ability to take individual reservations at this time.
  8. Can each member of our group get their own code?
Absolutely! If it's easier for you each to have your own access code, we can certainly do that. (No extra charge.)
  9. Can I customize the key code I'll use during my stay?
Absolutely! We usually suggest the last four digits of your phone number, to make it easy to remember.
  1. How many people can you accommodate?
We can fit up to 8 people rather comfortably between the three bedrooms and the pull out sofa bed in the living room. The bedrooms themselves can fit 6-7.
  2. What kind of beds are available in each room?
Bedroom 1 has a full size bed Bedroom 2 has two twin beds Bedroom 3 has a bunkbed with a twin mattress over a full. Sofa bed in the living room is a full.
  3. What kind of kitchen facilities do you have?
We have a full kitchen, stocked with everything you should need while you're here, including a stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker (actually 2-- a Keurig and a conventional), pots & pans, silverware, and dishes.
  4. What time is check in/check out?
Check in is 3:00 p.m., however we're usually able to accommodate either early or late arrivals. In fact, our guests who have arrived late into the evening have appreciated our access code system that allowed them immediate access when they arrived. Check out is noon but, again, we're usually able to accommodate late departures. (Please note that check-in/check-out times for crafting weekends are different.)
